As a graduate of the Institute for Life Coach Training and certified as a Professional Coach with the International Coach Federation the training and certification process fine tuned Karen’s intuitive way of coming alongside someone to ask questions reaching to the heart of the matter and inspiring action that overcomes fears and other obstacles. Karen has worked with countless people - formally and informally, as an integral part of their experiencing clarity, encouragement and action - moving them forward in ways that are immeasurably more than they ever dreamed possible. It is not her “job” but is her joy!
Her experience of growing up and working together in a four generational home, her deep listening skills acquired in her training for Interpreting for the Deaf, the spiritual focus and depth from her theological studies at Emory University, her years of service as an ordained pastor in her community of faith, living with the challenges of being 4’7” tall with a form of Morquio’s Syndrome, and being married to her best friend are some of the experiences which have influenced and contributed to Karen’s coaching and the benefits her clients receive from her services. She understands what it takes to push past disappointments and use the bricks in the wall of a life obstacle to become a brick in the path to where she is headed next. She has achieved things she was told she couldn’t and reached goals that have made her life immeasurably more than average or ordinary - one that is Living Tall! She is intrigued by stories of real life people triumphing over demanding and challenging circumstances. One of her favorite occurrences is coming into contact with people who are living their passion in their everyday lives.
